Parenting Conference: Educating Our Sons - Helping Boys Succeed in School

This workshop will discuss male motivation, lack of performance, and myths about educating male students. Interventions and strategies to help parents at home and teachers in the classroom will be presented for ages preschool to college. Participants will learn immediate and effective strategies for helping boys to learn, complete homework and be successful in educational settings.

Parenting Workshop: Children with ADHD

This workshop will discuss the symptoms, diagnosis process and treatment for this disorder. Participants will receive strategies to use during school and at home to help decrease impulsivity and hyperactivity. Medication, therapy, and behavioral interventions will be discussed. Each participant will learn immediate and effective strategies for helping children with ADHD succeed. A workbook and handouts will be given to each participant.

Parenting Workshop: Getting Kids to Listen

We will discuss at home, in school, and in the community strategies to increase compliance for children with chores, school work, getting along with siblings, and just following instructions the first time. Participants will learn ways to increase compliance, decrease disruptive behaviors and learn ways to prevent non compliance in children. This workshop will cover ages toddler to teenagers to young adult and increase participants ability to get compliance from any age child. A workbook and handouts will be given to each participant.

Parenting Workshop: The Passionate Preschooler

This workshop is ideal for parents who are interested in strategies to help their toddler listen, follow directions, reduce temper tantrums and help with common everyday challenges of toddlers. This workshop will help daycare staff and educators learn classroom strategies to help keep children in their facility while dealing with common toddler behavior such as kicking, biting, temper tantrums, and other disruptive behaviors. Participants will learn immediate and effective strategies for helping toddlers to preschool to school age children. A workbook and handouts will be given to each participant.

Cancellations & Substitutions 

You may cancel your registration up to 10 business days before the program and we will refund your tuition less a $25.00 cancellation fee. Substitutions and transfers may be made at any time to another program of your choice scheduled within 12 months of your original event. Please note that if you do not cancel and do not attend, you are still responsible for payment. No refunds are given once you have attended an event.
